FISPAN is an Enterprise SaaS FinTech start-up that allows for banks to deploy embedded financial products and services to create a seamless banking connection for their corporate clients. Our product aims to provide instant scale and reach for banks who want to remove friction and add value by enabling their commercial banking clients to access banking services through their preferred operational software. The interview process for this position will be entirely remote, and we are open to remote work options.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines for consuming data from a wide variety of sources
• Coordinate with business units to ingest and present data that will help drive internal business decisions
• Integrating data stored in the corporate data lake with our business intelligence tool for end user analysis
• Identifying gaps in our current data ingestion infrastructure and designing solutions to solve them
• Answering end user data enquiries and providing direction for helping them become more self sufficient in their data enquiries through the use of our corporate business intelligence tool
• Work with data engineering team members to share knowledge and continually enhance personal and team skill sets
• Support a production data environment including resolving data pipeline and ingestion issues in a timely manner

What you Need

• 5+ years delivering impactful data related projects to internal and/or external stakeholders
• Fluent in Python and Pyspark for the purpose of creating, manipulating and storing Dataframes
• An analytical mindset for proactively identifying and integrating data sources that end users will find useful
• Solid experience with the majority of the following technologies: AWS S3, AWS Redshift, AWS Data Pipelines, AWS EMR, Spark and Hadoop
• A security mindset for organization, storing and presenting data in a secure and compliant fashion
• Our end users are our internal departments, so the ability to manage timelines and work cross team to accomplish goals in timely and efficient manner
• Data presentation skills in one of the industry leading business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, Qlik, PowerBI)

Nice to haves

• Experience working with the Qlik BI tool
• Familiarity with the Apache parquet storage format
• Experience with terraform
• Experience with machine learning models
