Data Supervisor - Upstream Oil and Gas

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of data and/or GIS professionals ensuring high performance
• Attract and retain key talent and create an environment within the San Antonio data operation that fosters employee engagement, diversity, development, and employee satisfaction
• Develop, execute, monitor, and lead data product team strategies, tactics, measurements, and operational processes to deliver business results
• Support both external and internal customer needs in a timely manner and to establish product requirements
• Augment and/or support Data Sales (or Data Manager) by attending client meetings to present product “value add”
• Work with Product Managers and actively participate in P2 Tobin data strategy meetings and/or working groups to set direction for entire data product portfolio
• Interface with outside influence groups to establish product requirements
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
• Confer with other managers and senior leaders on integration and infrastructure requirements
• Lead in the creation of workflow/process/training documents

• Understanding of key data governance and data quality concepts/practices and be able to communicate them in layman’s terms
• Exposure to, or understanding of, oil and gas mineral leasing; state, federal, or local regulatory well life cycles; Texas, Carter, and Jeffersonian land survey systems; and upstream oil and gas exploration
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Inherent and/or demonstrated leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and business communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and deliver results on schedule
• Project Management experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or geographic information system (GIS) related field preferred
• 3-5 years work experience with data-centric enterprise or geospatial environments
• Demonstrated ability to grow talent and motivate data and/or GIS professionals
• Active experience engaging internal or external customers to understand business needs and ensure product satisfaction
