Data Analyst & Internal Audit Intern (Paid Internship)

Overview
Electric Advantage is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analysis & Internal Audit Intern to support our finance, operations, and compliance teams. This internship offers exposure to business-critical projects, data analysis, internal auditing, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This internship is expected to last 1–4 months, with the possibility of early completion or transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Duties

• Work closely with our leadership team to analyze historical financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support internal audit processes by gathering, reviewing, and testing a wide range of documentation
• · Identify and document data discrepancies, performance anomalies, and operational risks
• · Use Excel and/or BI tools to develop clear dashboards, visuals, and summaries of findings
• · Spot financial and operational trends to support deeper analysis and decision-making
• Assist in organizing and presenting data in a format that supports strategic business assessments
• Collaborate with teams to develop process improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus
• Familiarity with financial statements and business reporting
• Able to handle sensitive data with integrity and discretion
• Curious, self-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
