Senior Talent Manager - New York

Datadog is seeking an experienced manager to join our growing Talent Management team. This is a new role reporting to the Director, Talent Management. It provides the opportunity to have immediate impact, fully owning key pillars of work (such as performance, talent review, career growth, internal mobility). The role also has scope for you to develop your career with us – Datadog has experienced exponential growth year-over-year and has no plans to stop.

What You’ll Do

  • Fully own the design, development, and delivery of company-wide talent initiatives at Datadog, with an initial focus on Internal Mobility.
  • Stand-up new programs to support Datadog’s rapid growth, with a focus on Career Growth.
  • Create and implement Internal Mobility policies and procedures to encourage employee movement.
  • Analyze Internal Mobility data to track trends, measure the effectiveness of programs, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Provide expert guidance to People Business Partners, CoEs and leaders from all business areas.
  • Solve complex problems, working across internal stakeholders to build consensus and keep making progress.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and refine offerings based on employee feedback, result metrics, and company priorities. 
  • Research, recommend, and implement new tools and systems to help our programs and initiatives scale. 
  • Consult with SMEs to help them develop and deliver their own high-quality talent programs as needed. 
  • Work closely with and enable PBPs; your partnership will allow them to have maximal impact across all of Datadog.
  • Actively manage a full portfolio of talent initiatives across the company. 

Who You Are

  • A specialist/manager with 7+ years in Talent Management, Career Growth, and Internal Mobility; or a Senior People Business Partner with a strong background in this area of specialization.
  • Experienced across different pillars of Talent Management including internal mobility, career growth, career pathing, performance management, handling low performance, succession planning. 
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to respond to changes in operational pace.
  • Able to understand end-to-end processes and successfully operate when multiple teams are involved to deliver large projects across the organization.
  • A problem solver, applying good judgment to put forward solutions, especially when the right thing to do is not immediately clear.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and changing priorities – our work requires us to be highly iterative and responsive to feedback.
  • Comfortable delivering content to different audiences, and adapt your style accordingly.
  • You communicate with precision and clarity.
  • Experience with Workday and Greenhouse a plus.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

$150,000$215,000 USD
