Who you are: We’re looking for a Data Scientist I to be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating AI solutions for internal and external stakeholders. Conduct applied research on incorporating state-of-the-art AI techniques into Dataminr research and applications. Lead the development of innovative data visualization and analytical prototypes for rapid product iterations. Other duties include: fast AI model prototyping and evaluation, cross-functional data analytics, foundational research on Natural Language Processing and Statistical Modeling, and mentoring of junior employees and interns. May telecommute from any location in the U.S. Required Skills & Experience: • This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. • Must also have demonstrated experience with each of the following: • 1) Developing software libraries for statistical modeling using Python, and/or other scripting languages; • 2) Developing Deep Learning models for real-world problems using state-of-the-art frameworks (e.g, Pytorch, Tensorflow); • 3) Developing machine learning models on social media data (e.g. Twitter, Glassdoor, Weibo) following research best practices; • 4) Implementing interactive and effective data visualization prototypes for internal and future external use; and • 5) Training AI models to detect events and performing large scale data analysis as well as running large-scale experiments. • Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program. • Will accept experience gained concurrently. • Salary: $108,306 to $132,000/year. • Full-time, position may telecommute from any location in the U.S. • HQ in New York, NY. • Please apply online at www.dataminr.com.
