The Director of Engineering will be a key partner in shaping the future of DataSnipper's engineering organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can anticipate future technological needs and guide the team toward best practices in software development. We're looking for someone who can not only execute but also ideate, challenge, and innovate.

The recent acquisition of AI-native UpLink, a cloud-based secure document request portal, and the launch of DocuMine, a new AI-powered document validator, dramatically expand DataSnipper’s goal to build a comprehensive AI-powered audit ecosystem with global impact. What you will do:
Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with DataSnipper's product vision and business goals
Build and lead high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with leadership to translate company goals and metrics into actionable engineering strategies
Design and implement engineering processes and structures that align with DataSnipper's vision and drive innovation
Foster strong alignment between engineering and product teams, ensuring cohesive development efforts
Proactively identify areas for improvement and bring forward solutions
Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including architecture, coding standards, and testing methodologies
Anticipate future technological needs and proactively prepare the engineering organization for emerging trends, particularly in AI and automation
Establish and monitor key engineering metrics to ensure optimal team performance and product quality
Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting career growth and skill development
What you bring
Proven experience as a Director of Engineering or similar leadership role in a fast-growing B2B SaaS company
Track record of building and scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development
Preferred: Experience in AI and machine learning technologies, particularly in their application to data processing and automation
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future technological needs and trends
Experience in agile methodologies and modern software development practices
Strong understanding of cloud technologies and distributed systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
