Day Camp Jr. Counselor

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Guard campers safety and welfare at all times.
  • Count campers before and after each different activity.

  • Follow pre-planned schedule of activities ensuring campers are on time
  • Properly maintain equipment and supplies
  • Report accidents to Camp Health Supervisor and complete forms
  • Must attend and staff the camp carnival; assist as needed with planning and organizing family nights and camp carnival
  • Responsible for visually observing and hearing campers during outdoor activities on and off site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and successful completion of the Leaders In Training (LIT) program either the previous Summer or current Summer is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to participate in all group activities.
  • Must be able to set up and break down all program supplies and equipment.
  • Must be able to move readily through camp site program areas such as woods and fields.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Multi-Lingual
