The Dealer Receivables Specialist (DRS) is responsible for contacting dealership personnel by phone to solicit outstanding payments within an assigned territory. All conversations must be clear and conducted in a professional manner while adhering to all federal, state, and local guidelines (if applicable). The Dealer Receivables Specialist (DRS) is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing dealer client base. The Dealer Receivables Specialist will notify delinquent dealers through dialer and manual call campaigns within our phone system to secure payment using various contacts within the dealership. The DRS will also be responsible for implementing an escalation plan when necessary and following the account through to resolution.
What is a day in the life at Flagship as a Dealer Receivables Specialist?
- Communicate with dealers via telephone to obtain payment on outstanding amounts
- Accurately document information regarding the status of collection efforts in the loan servicing system
- Handle communication with the dealer, missing invoices, billing, and payment questions in a timely manner
- Research and resolve dealer disputes in a timely manner
- Be proactive by communicating known operational issues that may delay payment, to internal and external partners
- Assure achievement of individual KPIs and objectives, while supporting the success of the team as a whole
- Works all stages of delinquency, from early to late stage, in a high-volume and complex environment
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection and metric goals
- Adhere to all department and company policies and procedures
About you:Education (Required/Preferred):
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: College Degree
Experience (Required/Preferred):
- Required: Minimum of two years of collections or call center experience
- Preferred: Two or more years of auto collections experience
- Preferred: Accounts receivable: 1 year
- Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and professional in demeanor
- Must promote the company culture and mission to all associates, vendors, clients, and business partners
- Must have strong customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Work Environment:
- This is a fast-paced environment typically set in a call center setting. This is a hybrid position that will be in office 25% of the time.
