What the DevEx team does
Deel Engineering is growing extremely fast and developer productivity is a key objective for us. We have an internal developer tool called Giger where people can create sandboxed production-like environments. Over the past year the tool has evolved and we observe higher demand among the users. Hence, we are creating a new team dedicated to Developer experience with primary focus on Giger at the beginning.
Who are we looking for?
5+ years of experience with Node.js or any other language
Solid Kubernetes, Helm and Docker experience is a must (minimum 2+ yrs required)
General AWS or similar cloud experience
Experience with Postgres/Mysql, RabbitMq/Nats/Kafka
Strong system design and problem solving skills, we often deal with the “unknown”
Experience building complex CI/CD pipelines, we use Github Actions and ArgoCD
Experience in building observability toolchain: logs, metrics
Strong communication skills, we often need to orchestrate projects across 20+ teams
You are hands-on troubleshooter
You are ready for challenges
Extra brownie points if you…
Have experience building internal tooling: npm packages, frameworks
Have past experience in DevEx or Platform teams
