Senior Network Security Engineer

• Deliver industry-leading change projects utilising SASE, SD-WAN, and NGFW products from Palo Alto Networks.
• Demonstrate the ability to take the project lead, drive high-quality customer outcomes, and implement change initiatives while meeting tight customer deadlines.
• Location – Open to anywhere in New Zealand. We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.
• Contract role.

About the Role:

As a senior network security engineer, you will possess demonstrable experience delivering high-quality solutions using Palo Alto technologies. You will be skilled in executing complex migration projects that transition clients from competitor technologies to Palo's SD-WAN, SASE, and NGFW solutions.

Your ability to lead projects will ensure high-quality customer results within tight deadlines, and you will be comfortable taking on the technical leadership role. Additionally, you will be an effective communicator and possess the ability to communicate clearly, articulate project outcomes, and manage communications in partnership with the broader project delivery team.

What you will be doing:

• Deliver and lead customer change initiatives within the DEFEND Professional Services Team.
• Engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Serve as the technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in implementing Palo Alto solutions within intricate customer environments
• Collaborate with other professional services team members to guarantee customer success.

• A demonstrated history of leading and executing complex Network Security Change projects.
• Exceptional communication skills that enable clear and concise information sharing.
• Proficient written communication for developing comprehensive designs, reports, and high-quality change documentation.
• Skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting issues as they emerge.
• A strong commitment to achieving high-quality customer outcomes and providing world-class solutions.
• Capable of thriving in a team-oriented environment and collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Specific Requirements:

• Over 5 years of demonstrable experience in leading and executing network security change initiatives
• In-depth knowledge of network security technologies and industry best practices
• Advanced problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
• Certified Palo Alto PCNSE professional
• Experience of Palo Alto SD-WAN, SASE and NGFW solutions
• Experience with Checkpoint and FortiGate firewalls would be advantageous.
