Your Challenge:
In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing & Operations and with a dotted line to the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist. You will be responsible for implementing effective SEO strategies and optimizing the website for conversion rate. You’ll also gather and analyze marketing data across all channels, identify the most significant areas for conversion improvements, and work cross-functionally to implement strategies to capitalize on these opportunities with other members of the organization. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering insights that drive business decisions.
Here are some things you will tackle:
• Work with Sr. Director of Digital Marketing & Operations Director and Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to manage and report on the performance of SEO channel.
• Stay on top of keyword research and make structural and keyword recommendations to maximize SEO efforts across all web properties and content.
• Work with the content writers to optimize the website content for SEO and manage the relationship with external writers.
• Keep track of competitors and their performance on search channels.
• Audit the website for technical SEO issues and work with the website team to fix the errors. Also perform QA steps for website releases.
• Gather and analyze marketing data to develop insights, make recommendations on areas for optimization, and report on findings from A/B test data.
• Execute A/B testing and landing page and website optimizations to align with development plans for the website.
• Proactively communicate with peers and leadership on plans, progress, and problems.
What you'll need:
• 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing or related field (SEO agency experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of SEO techniques: keyword research, on page and off page optimization, backlinking, page speed, header tags, and Google search console.
• Strong analytical skills and interest in reporting and data analysis to extract meaning and present recommended actions; experience with statistical analysis is a plus.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data.
• Experience using SEO tools Ahrefs, Moz, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, or other digital tools are a plus.
• HTML5/CSS3 experience is a plus
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills when working with teammates who may be either data-driven or more qualitative.
• Detail-oriented, persistent, and curious.
• Ability and desire to learn quickly and troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning and contributing as part of a team.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
