As an automotive supplier, DENSO is leading in developing and providing components and systems for heating, air conditioning, motor cooling, exhaust gas aftertreatment, automotive electrics and electronics and instrumentation.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechatronics & Sensing Systems Engineer to join our innovative team in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with our headquarters in Japan, the design and development of our next generation sensing technology.

  • Develop demo-systems including software and control algorithms to demonstrate our technology's capability
  • Analyze and select appropriate sensor technologies for specific applications
  • Benchmark market capabilities and expectations
  • Generate new product proposals including technical requirements and business cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe and Japan to ensure seamless integration of sensor systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to sensor systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in sensor technologies and mechatronics
  • Participate in project and product management activities

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with data analysis, signal processing, and control systems
  • Hands-on experience with various sensor technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Project management experience
  • Programming skills such as C++, Python, or other relevant languages
  • Fluency in English and other languages (German language desirable)
  • Willingness to travel

Ideal would be the following experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechatronics systems engineering, with a focus on sensor technologies
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle dynamics
  • Experience in sensor integration, calibration, and optimization
  • Experience with automotive rapid prototype systems
  • Experience with Matlab / Simulink
  • Experience to work in Japanese company
  • Japanese language

Working Location:

The business unit's European center is in Wegberg, Germany and therefore the ideal candidate is located or willing to relocate to this area. We can consider candidates located near our Munich office.
