The Role


This senior level role sits in the Business System’s team who are responsible for delivery of projects/enhancements on the applications that support the Business, working on the strategic architecture and delivering on the recommended roadmap.


You will partner with the various teams, spanning Marketing, Sales, Finance, People Ops, Customer Experience & Support, to ensure systems are fit-for-purpose and are easily extendable for the future. Success will be measured by your ability to establish strong partnerships, challenge the status quo, ensure applications meet the businesses needs both now and in the years ahead, with a focus on scalability and sustainability as we go through a hyper growth phase.


At the same time as delivering projects, this role works with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop a strategic roadmap for consolidation over the next 12-24 months.


Responsibilities
  • Be Hands on - writing architecture / solution designs, collaborating with others and getting into the systems to make changes when necessary
  • Designing end-to-end solutions that meet business needs, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and integration capabilities.
  • Leading Technology evaluations through to recommendation/adoption - E.g. AI tooling, Self-Serve Automation etc
  • Presenting solutions to both technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the company
  • Managing and engaging teams remotely, across different geos
  • Recruiting new team members as we grow and build a world-class, sustainable and diverse team


Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years working as a Solution Architect (or equivalent) with particular focus on SaaS technologies, at least 3 years management experience 
  • Proven experience working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver on business objectives
  • Ability to influence others and drive decisions in a highly dynamic and customer-focused environment. 
  • Strong partnering skills with a focus on ‘listening to learn’. The ideal candidate would empower the team and enable internal stakeholders to self-serve and continuously improve the tech stack.
  • Strong background in mentoring, developing and guiding a team of Architects / Solution Designers
  • Demonstrated ability leading a team in a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Practical experience working with architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF, Zachman or similar, allowing you to develop roadmaps/plans that align technology with business objectives
  • Technology domain expertise in Billing (Subscriptions) & Sales/Marketing (GTM) are essential (at least one)
  • Technical acumen and a strategic understanding of the essential systems used to support a SaaS organisation, which must include Salesforce and Zuora (or similar). 
  • Certifications in Salesforce, Java Development experience and TOGAF certification are a plus.
