Developer Relations, PHP Community

We’re looking for a passionate Developer Relations expert to engage with the Developer community, help build relationships, and support our PHP-based technologies. You will be a true champion of our products, advocating for both InMotion Hosting and our customers through product improvements, documentation, and instructional content. In this role, you’ll also create insightful content to position InMotion Hosting as a recognized resource and leader within development communities.

Our Developer Relations team focuses on amplifying the voice of the Developer community to ensure our internal Software Developer teams operate with the community’s interests and experiences in mind. You are a Developer yourself, advocating for Developers who use Laravel, Symfony, Node, and React.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 4 years of development experience in PHP, CSS/HTML, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Zend etc.
• JavaScript libraries, MySQL (or other database management systems)
• 2+ years experience writing and editing content of all types
• Comfortability being on camera, understanding of YouTube SEO
• Understanding of Node.js, React, and Python
• Time spent engaging with Developers and within developer communities
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical solutions to a technical or non-technical audience
• Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Understanding of web servers
• Solid understanding of cPanel software, configuration and implementation
• Comprehension of caching concepts and terminology

What You’ll Do:

• Produce documentation and education resources to aid learning and build affinity with our products and community
• Create high quality content including support articles, ultimate guides, and videos
• Introduce our products to qualified influencers
• Focus on getting users to reach, watch and share our educational content
• Run webinars and live streams to teach about our products, development concepts and answer questions from the development community
• Stay up to date on industry trends and developments within PHP-based frameworks and products
• Assist in online forums by answering questions with both written and video responses
• Advocate for customers by adding tickets for common requests and escalating important issues to the top of the queue
• Represent the organization and products at various conferences and industry events, both virtual and in person
