Development Assistant
The George Mason University Libraries is recruiting a part-time Development Assistant to be a member of the development team within the Office of the Dean of the University Libraries and University Librarian.

About the Position:
The Development Assistant’s responsibilities will report to the Dean of University Libraries and support the development functions for University Libraries. The incumbent will assist in all matters related to the development operations, to include, preparing donor acknowledgement letters, endowment letters, and correspondence; managing and reviewing donor records, reports, and files, as well as running confidential donor reports and mailing lists; preparing materials for the University Libraries Advisory Board and donors; general duties as assigned. The incumbent will work on university systems such as Microsoft Office 365 and interface with a CRM (Salesforce – donor database) and MicroStrategy (donor reporting).
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated office experience; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to adapt to new systems quickly; strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work both independently and as a member of a team; ability to work successfully in a multi-tasking, fast-paced work environment, short time frames, and deadlines; ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks and projects; ability to handle and maintain confidential information and with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of fundraising databases and software programs.
