Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Cybersecurity Integration Center (NCIC) LeadLocation: Bethesda, MD (On-site with some flexibility for remote work)Duration: Long Term ContractPosition Overview:Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Integration Center (NCIC) Lead to head the Cybersecurity Integration Center, supporting a government agency client. The NCIC Lead will play a pivotal role in securing the client s hybrid IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments, while ensuring the security of the agency s scientific and technical resources against evolving cybersecurity threats.Key Responsibilities:• Leadership: Manage the operations of the Cybersecurity Integration Center (NCIC), including a team of engineers and cybersecurity experts.• Security Engineering: Provide security engineering and architectural guidance for the client s systems, including cloud and on-prem environments.• Incident Management: Lead incident management efforts, overseeing the detection, response, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents and threats.• Penetration Testing: Plan, coordinate, and oversee penetration testing activities to identify vulnerabilities within the client s systems and ensure the efficacy of security controls.• Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for improving cybersecurity posture across the organization s IT environments.• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to NIST standards and other federal regulations, conducting ongoing monitoring of cybersecurity compliance.• Threat Intelligence: Provide insights and guidance on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.• Executive Communication: Provide executive-level briefings on security status, incident response, and emerging threats.• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal IT teams, federal partners, and external stakeholders to ensure a cohesive cybersecurity strategy across all systems.Required Qualifications:• Experience: 10 or more years of experience in information technology security, with at least 5 years directly supporting a Federal Agency.• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing cybersecurity personnel and providing executive-level briefings.• Expertise: Strong expertise in security engineering, incident response, threat management, and security architecture.• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of federal cybersecurity compliance standards, including FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP, and OMB guidelines.• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in security tools and platforms, such as Splunk, firewalls, vulnerability management systems, and cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.).• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearancePreferred Qualifications:• Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.• Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certifications.Skills:• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining a secure and compliant environment across diverse IT infrastructures
