Apply via Dice today!The U.S. District Court Clerk s Office currently is accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology Specialist (Cloud Architect). This position is located in the District Court Clerk s Office in Boston, Massachusetts and reports to the Clerk of Court. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and implementing the architectural standards, policies and procedures for applications and will work with other architects and stakeholders. To view openings and to apply, visit our applicant tracking system at:Representative Duties:Working with other enterprise, cloud, data and solution architects in the implementation of a new cloud-based enterprise compute platform for a critical system at the Judiciary.Developing and implementing requirements and appropriate design patterns that satisfy the needs of the various system components.Driving innovation across the development teams by developing best practices and innovative approaches using modern cloud strategies.Collaborating with technical and business subject matter experts to develop the appropriate implementation strategies that enable the optimal use of modern cloud tools and platforms.Collaborating with other architects across the Judiciary to develop best practices, methods and standards needed to run a world-class cloud system.Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:Minimum of two years of specialized experience in agile development methodologies and executing application architecture tasks within an open-source framework and in cloud services with experience in at least one cloud provider, proficiently defining and enforcing established architectural frameworks and best practices tailored for large-scale, high-traffic web-based and mobile applications, such a Node.js, Angular, ReactJS, Python, etc.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to exercise good judgement and work calmly under pressure.Ability to travel as needed. If hired in a full-time remote capacity must be able and willingly to travel to Washington, D.C. and Boston and other cities as needed for meetings and conferences.Commitment to public service.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree;FBI Background InvestigationAs a condition of employment, the selected candidate must successfully complete a ten-year background investigation, and every five years thereafter will be subject to an updated investigation similar to the initial one.
