Apply via Dice today!Western Governors University (WGU) is looking for an individual to participate as a Subject Matter Expert for our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Foundations for Computer Scientists fact check project. This position is 100% remote.Subject Matter Experts provide valuable real-world knowledge and experience to the development of the courses we offer our students. This is a part-time/project-based position, where you would work with WGU as an independent contractor.Subject Matter Experts MUST meet the following criteria:• Master's degree or higher in CS (or related field) OR a graduate degree in a related discipline.• At least 5 years of experience.• 5 years of computer engineer, software engineer, computer architecture experience.• 2+ years in higher education related to CS.Project InformationDates: 8/26 to 12/20 (dates subject to change slightly)Application Deadline: 8/23Location: RemoteTime commitment: 10 hours (approximately)Compensation: $75 per hourOther compensation and benefits: This position is for an independent contractor and is not eligible for other compensation or benefits.Scope of work: Complete a thorough fact-check review of AI-generated learning material with specific focus on facts, claims, data, statistics, figures, quotes, names, places, and descriptions of current and recent events. Fact-checkers will provide written feedback about inaccurate or misleading material along with proposed corrections including sources cited.Meetings/Workshops: One 30 min. onboarding meeting and one 2-hour review meeting.If you are chosen, you will be sent an email with the next steps to join the project.
