Digital Navigator - Client Facing

Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Salary: $52,000 / year
DRIVERS LICENSE AND VEHICLE REQUIRED
The Digital Navigator is responsible for supporting persons served in effective use technology for several purposes: to access telehealth services, to increase independence and to support clinical goals. The Digital Navigator will provide one on one support in client homes and within Vinfen and other providers programs
The Digital Navigator also:

  • Works alongside staff to identify and support clients with IT needs
  • Supports the purchase and distribution of technology, including smartphones, tablets, and Wi-fi to clients where needed.
  • Provides one on one technical support to clients in the community to support telehealth access.
  • Teaches technology basics, including: how to power up devices, access the Internet, and navigate programs (Zoom, email, other common applications)
  • Provides technology aids and reference materials.
  • Conducts an inventory of technology access and skills of clients.
  • Conducts assessments of client Telehealth access and literacy in order to plan for and support their engagement with telehealth and technology based care coordination
  • Collects data as required by the grant on client access and use of telehealth and other services
  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements:

  • A high school diplomaor equivalent isrequired.Bachelor's degree preferred. In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training.
  • At least 1 year of experience in health care and/or social service, orin a service-user facing technology related fieldis preferred. Experience working with people with mental health conditions is preferred.
  • Experience providing technical support and training to internal end-users and working in a "help-desk" or customer-service like role
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to plan and schedule activities and operate independently with minimal direction
  • A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.
  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal, employment verification, reference background checks.
