CrossCountry Consulting’s Chicago location is looking for a Business Development Director to join it’s growing team. This is a newly created senior level opportunity that will work closely with Chicago Leadership . A unique opportunity to become part of our growing, collaborative, and entrepreneurial team.
As Director of Business Development, you will report to the National Business Development Partner and will be responsible for identifying, generating, and closing new business opportunities and selling our services in the Chicago market.

Source and qualify opportunities with Boston region clients not served by CrossCountry Consulting
- Expand, nurture, and develop opportunities with existing client relationships
- Identify and qualify all opportunities during the sales process

Create and execute the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position CrossCountry Consulting to secure business

Actively work existing relationships, networking contacts, professional affiliations, and industry groups

Support leadership team in cross-selling additional services to existing clients where appropriate

Work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans for the industry teams they support

Be part of the building and scaling a world class National Sales organization and BD resources

5+ years of demonstrated success in selling professional services, networking, and generating new business with a consistent and demonstrable track record of achieving annual revenue targets

Experience developing and closing significant new name clients, and expanding current client accounts

Knowledge of the business development cycle, including the development, management and execution of sales and BD planning, lead generation, pipeline management, account planning, and sales strategy

Professional network focused on the Accounting & Finance functions, with expertise in the consulting sector

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently

Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
