The Business Development Director is a newly created position which will be responsible for identifying, generating, and closing new business opportunities in the government services industry.

Identify, qualify and participate in assigned business development opportunities that support company strategic objectives, primarily focused on commercial clients in a range of industries

Experience navigating sales cycle from start to finish, leveraging internal resources within the larger sales organization

Source and qualify opportunities not served by CrossCountry Consulting while also expanding and nurturing opportunities with existing client relationships
- Create and execute the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position CrossCountry Consulting to secure business

Actively work existing relationships, networking contacts, professional affiliations, and industry groups

Support leadership team in cross-selling additional services to existing clients where appropriate

Work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans for the industry teams they support

8+ years of demonstrated success in selling consulting services, networking, and generating new business

Extensive knowledge of commercial client acquisition practices to support business development activities
- Demonstrated ability to identify and penetrate new accounts in addition to expanding current client accounts

Knowledge of the business development cycle, including the development, management and execution of sales and BD planning, lead generation, pipeline management, account planning, and sales strategy

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently
