The Commerce division of Code3, formally known as the Cleveland-founded company, Marketplace Strategy, was acquired by Code3 in 2018. Marketplace Strategy now operates as the commerce team within Code3. Digital marketing has evolved creating a need for brands to showcase media, creative, and commerce expertise across all major platforms. This progression is largely due to changes in shopping behavior. To help our clients serve the needs of today's consumers, our offering has evolved, too.
This role is a leadership role in the company and will evolve as we grow. Outside of the areas listed below, this role is expected to attend leadership meetings and contribute to the overall growth of Code3 Commerce which may include responsibilities outside of what is listed.
Responsibilities:
Objective #1: Management & Oversight of Client Services Group
- This role would be responsible for the overall management and growth of the Commerce' Client Services group; which may include Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and other CS team members. Client services is the most client facing group on the Commerce team and is responsible for the overall client relationship, Amazon/marketplace strategy, managing the execution of client programs, communicating results, insights, and information to the client, and managing the profitability (hours) of each client. The specific role of the account manager/strategist varies based on size and complexity of the client.
- This role would oversee the Client Services group with responsibilities that include:
- Directly managing each team member in a manner that provides support and ensures growth
- Provide direct support on client programs based on needs of Account Strategists
- Work to develop "Standards" or Relevant Processes across the CS team to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of the group
- Improve employee trainings (both new employees and ongoing)
- Assist in identifying and closing upsell opportunities with clients
Objective #2: Enterprise Account Support
- Enterprise level accounts are an important part of the Commerce team, now and in the future. Our vision is to become the top marketplace agency and with this comes the need to serve some of the largest brands, driving strategic growth.
- Primary leadership support for Enterprise Accounts (Commerce Top 5 Brands):
- Establish & build relationships with client leadership
- Support Commerce team with QBR and strategic meetings
- Pursue program expansion opportunities
- Support Enterprise Account business development pursuits
- Work with the Sales team to assist in developing strategy & presenting to enterprise accounts
Requirements:
- BA with an emphasis in marketing, advertising, or business
- 7-13 years experience managing clients and relationships
- 6+ years of digital media experience at an agency
- Located in the Greater Cleveland or Columbus, OH area
- Experience managing and growing teams
- Proven track record of strengthening and growing new and existing client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability
- Self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment
- Energetic, relentless drive to succeed, team player
