Director, Corporate Accounts

About the role:


The Director will be responsible for leading the sales process for our first set of corporate customers, and managing relationships long-term, in order to maximize revenue growth and retention for our newest business line.


What you'll do:


Ideal candidates will be highly organized, relationship-focused, and entrepreneurial. Responsibilities will include:


  • Grow our Axios Pro subscription business by conducting strategic sales meetings with relevant industry targets
  • Identify prospective partners and develop outbound sales strategies to engage them
  • Collaborate with other internal revenue teams to coordinate referrals and outreach to existing Axios clients
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process for all inbound and outbound corporate sales engagements, from discovery through contract signature
  • Manage the customer relationship post-sale, in partnership with Customer Success team colleagues, to provide implementation guidance and drive activation 
  • Identify opportunities for upsells and lead the annual renewal process for customers
  • Collaborate with Revenue and Product team leadership to influence our corporate partnership strategy and product roadmap based on marketplace feedback
  • Log sales activity and account management notes within the relevant tools and systems 


About you:


  • Demonstrated sales or account management experience working with a large number of small to medium-sized companies
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong commercial instincts
  • High proficiency in relationship building and relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to be adaptable and creative as the Axios Pro corporate sales program grows
