About the team and what we'll build together

At Kobie, you'll take your career to the next level working with the latest database technology in cloud computing. Unlock the power of data to help personalize the experience a consumer has with a brand and drive a better business outcome for our clients.


How you will make an impact

  • Lead the team of Oracle and Postgres DBAs to ensure availability, security, and the integrity of our databases.
  • Partner with enterprise technology teams to deliver the ongoing data architecture, data vision and data strategy for the loyalty technology product suite.
  • Work with the Engineering and Delivery organizations to provide and manage resources aligned to all aspects of database management.
  • Coach and mentor data management resources including DBAs, database developers, data architects, and production support resources.
  • Manage departmental staff and plan for technical skill development of the DBAs.
  • Establish, refine, and audit capacity planning to ensure proper hardware resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement database maintenance plans.
  • Ensure project and department milestones and goals are met on time and within budget.

What you need to be successful

  • Currently Director or Sr. Manager level title
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • 10+ years data management experience in large scale environments with a focus on Oracle and Oracle Cloud. Postgres experience being a significant plus.
  • Experience with non-relational DB systems including BigData and NoSQL.
  • Thorough understanding of file structures and design, information retrieval techniques, and database controls and standards.
  • Experience with high availability with globally distributed data persistence and disaster recovery techniques
  • Working knowledge of cloud database deployments and administration
  • Must understand what it takes to deliver in client-focused, client service-oriented environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic Linux-based server OS experience
  • Strong people leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of MarTech and Loyalty is a plus
