Director of DevOPS (P2030)

The DevSecOps group is made up of capabilities in the following spaces: Observability & Hosting, Developer Pipelines, API Enablement and Identity and Access management. This Director of DevOps provides support, administration, and thought leadership for the products and services for one or more of the listed teams that serve our external customers as well as ones that serve and support our internal customers across the business. This role may be called on to assist and/or lead large client and operations related projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use Scrum/Agile methodologies and DevOps principles combined with the latest in internal and external technologies to deliver value to internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets, and collaboratively ensure team targets are met.
  • Work within and across engineering teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools
  • Leading incident response efforts, including coordinating with other teams to investigate and resolve incidents
  • Responsible for managing relationships and working with 3rdparty vendors to maintain proper staffing levels and technology requirements while adhering to budget targets
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams to provide active input as an expert on reliability, performance, and efficiency on high available systems architecture.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
  • 5 or more years' experience providing 2nd and/or 3rd line support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of advanced container concepts, container runtimes (containerd, docker) and container orchestration frameworks (kubernetes, openshift)
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD pipeline architecture and processes in addition to automation tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab, etc.)
  • Strong experience with modern application development workflows and version control systems like GitHub, Gitlab, or Bitbucket
  • Experience with Networking, routing, DNS, & Load Balancing
  • Ability to lead a technical group in solving problems and moving infrastructure forward.
  • Azure or GCP experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
