About this role:

The Director, Event Strategy & Field Marketing drives the strategy and planning of our prioritized direct-to-brand and agency focused industry and proprietary events, along with supporting client-focused events including advisory forums, lunch-and -learns client summits and field . Often coordinating across various sales and marketing campaign teams to prioritize, plan, and communicate event strategy, field marketing & planning initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and organization skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal teams. This person has exceptional customer services skills, with the ability and demeanor to handle change while managing multiple event roadmaps & stakeholders. Further, they understand that all sales and marketing event efforts be strategically based and deliver measurable results that align with business goals. This is someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a proven track record of working successfully on complex, large scale marketing and sales projects. This person can work cross functionally with sales leaders to drive field and client specific prospecting activities that drive new revenue.

(Director, Event and Field Marketing Strategy:
  • Play an active role in the annual strategic planning process by researching relevant industry events, trends, demonstrating ROI from previously managed events and providing recommendations
  • Translate business needs from multiple internal teams (sales, marketing, client services) into a cohesive field marketing strategy
  • Help define and execute the event strategy, tactical plans, and project management from beginning to end
  • Foster a culture of cross collaboration as it relates to event planning with sales & marketing stakeholders
  • Maintain event planning documents per event to capture all planning elements and activities
  • Ensure process, execution, and awareness of all onsite and post-planning elements of each event
  • Provide consistent and clear communication of events programs to all stakeholders in a timely manner, including briefing documents and goal setting
  • Organize planning sessions with key stakeholders to gain input on goals and executional ideas
  • Help develop processes for lead tracking and ROI measurement within Salesforce
  • Work with marketing campaign teams to ensure consistent strategy/messaging across all event efforts.
  • Manage event strategy within specified budget

Field Marketing:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive field marketing plan that supports and aligns with the overall marketing and sales strategy to drive demand for Epsilon products
  • Build strong relationships with key sales leaders and collaborate closely to build consensus, define involvement, align goals, develop plans and drive prospective customer engagement
  • Regularly engage with sales leaders to identify relationship-building opportunities, ensure ongoing agreement on priorities and deliver impactful programs, including but not limited to tradeshows, hosted activations, direct mailer campaigns and ABM initiatives
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • 10-15 years professional work experience in event marketing roles with a track record that demonstrates increasing responsibilities and results. Digital marketing a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with and present to all levels and functions of the organization.
  • An engaging, outgoing personal style with a customer service mindset who enjoys working independently as well as on a team.
  • The ability to project manage with remote contributors and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
  • Creative, resourceful, results oriented and collaborative team player.
  • Highly organized with good follow through capabilities.
  • Tenacious, energized, curious and enthusiastic self-starter; ability to be flexible and multi-task.

Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver sound event marketing programs focused on efficiently delivering outstanding results.
  • Applicable industry knowledge (media, advertising, tech, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
