Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA). The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology. We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Job Summary:

As a Director for Global Service Warehouse and Distribution, you are the o wner of the 3PL performance to KLA business objectives. T his role is responsible to develop and lead initiatives for evaluating supply chain and service distribution models, including reverse logistics. Responsibility for leading & evaluating distribution strategies, participating in the design of logistic processes and procedures, and developing a service logistics strategy to optimize support to customers and maximize operational efficiencies for the business. Support global integration of new companies and standardization within all arenas of operations, with primary focus on the Global Warehouse operations.

As a Global Service Warehouse and Distribution Director , you provide leadership and direction to Logistics team members in various functions. You have global warehouse responsibility for leading & evaluating distribution strategies, participating in the design of logistic processes and procedures, and developing a service logistics strategy to optimize support to customers. You will ensure effectiveness of team operations by adherence to consistent processes and standard practices across the various Logistics teams.

This individual must possess hands on logistics operational know-how and excellent customer service skills and technology know-how needed to work successfully in high-pressure, time sensitive situations where customer satisfaction, operational and cost efficiencies are the ultimate goals.

Works closely with various manufacturing & service directors, spares planning, quality and MFG operations to capture logistics requirements and/or opportunities to support a cohesive and successful supply chain.

This role is expected to have the ability to cover peer roles in other geographies and logistics areas, such as Freight operations, EMEA & APAC geographies.

Essential Functions:

  • Assess and manage our global service warehouse network, focusing on UDC operations and optimizing solutions for our customers, KLA Corporation and internal business constituents and develop best practices to drive standardization, consistency and value to the business.
  • Implement/improve and manage appropriate standardized operational and business metrics to meet or exceed performance requirements on a Global/Regional basis
  • Deal directly with Third Party Providers in both operational and contract negotiation/management, performance review and improvement plans.
  • Provide key leadership role in driving business results on a global scale, applying deep knowledge of regional relevance, regulatory compliance and staff development
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of domestic and international logistics networks for high-value goods including service distribution strategies.
  • Utilize previously technical, project management, and people management experience to actively lead global and regional teams and projects, inclusive of RFP’s and Supplier implementation.
  • Create and or implement policies/procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize logistics execution and customer satisfaction focusing on a cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure Global Trade and Compliance regulation adherence for all import and export business pertaining to your region.

  • The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
  • To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.

Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years in Freight/Logistics field with strong preference for experience in high- tech and semiconductor equipment industry or other complex, high-mix, low-volume products. 7 years’ experience as a people manager
  • Strong business acumen, leadership and people management skills
  • Proven success in developing, delegating to, and empowering staff

Soft skills:

  • Motivated by curiosity and continuous improvement
  • Change agent experienced proposing and selling new ideas and challenging traditions
  • Ability to use data to influence, persuade, and secure buy-in for improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work well in a highly matrixed environment
  • Experienced working effectively with internal teams, customers, and strategic technical suppliers
  • Strategic thinker; demonstrated experience in taking objectives and converting them into actionable plans (e.g. cost reductions, etc.)
  • Creative, innovative and resourceful with a passion for speed, agility, simplification and proactive action

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Level Degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor's Level Degree with a minimum of 14 years of experience
