Overview
As the Director, B2B Creative Strategy, you will lead the team responsible for developing pre-sale ideas and packages that put a client’s brand at the center of Morning Brew’s B2B franchises. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative thinker, storyteller, and leader who can mentor and manage a team while fostering relationships across the company and with clients. Not only do you love creating ideas, but you love backing them up with strategy and insights. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Creative Strategy.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
- Evolve our Creative Strategy process to address the specific needs of the B2B team
- Lead a team of B2B creative strategists in developing, packaging, and presenting ideas and campaigns
- Prioritize and assign requests and manage feedback cycles from multiple teams throughout the pre-sale process
- Ensure every pitch that goes to a client is rooted in strategy and insights, visually compelling, clear, and well written
-Understand and utilize specific data and insights that define Morning Brew’s B2B audience
- Create and maintain B2B specific materials such as General Presentations, Media Kits, and Offerings Overviews
- Directly lead high tier/priority pitches independently or in collaboration with Sr. Director
- Lead and participate in brainstorms
- Maintain tracking system and conduct analysis and reporting of Creative Strategy priorities, projects, and goals
- Become an expert in our B2B Offerings and upcoming initiatives, audiences, and marketplace trends
- Monitor the competitive landscape and be aware of differentiation, tactics, and strategies.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Brand Partnerships to identify B2B client opportunities.
What makes you qualified?
- 6+ years in Creative Strategy or Integrated Marketing at a publisher or agency with direct B2B experience
- 2+ years management experience leading a team of 3+ people
- In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing tactics (i.e. ABM, lead-gen)
- Strong foundation in brand strategy, creative, client pitches including direct experience on cross-platform initiatives including traditional and non-traditional communication mediums (written, video, audio, social, visual, interactive, AR, experiential, etc)
- The writing skills of a journalist and eye of a copy editor
- A love for creating visually compelling presentations (in Google Slides)
- Project management skills that deliver projects for you and your team on time (or early!)
- Passion and understanding of the Morning Brew ecosystem
- Solution-oriented and positive mindset
