Description & Requirements

The Director of Marketing, Process and Distribution Industries will be expected to have a high level of collaboration with global functions, leadership and regional teams. In this role, you will be a thought leader for the Process and Distribution Industries globally. You’ll work with multiple teams to develop and evolve insights and ideas to solve challenges, drive objectives and reflect customer needs and challenges to influence behavior. You will identify and develop key insights into customers, the marketplace, competitors, macro trends and market opportunities. You’ll analyze trends and customer data to identify opportunities for growth, determine product requirements and define targeted customer segments and associated messages. Clear strategic thinking with the ability to lead and demonstrate passion for the portfolio is required.


A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Based upon insights and input from key focus markets, drive an integrated and holistic strategy with Sales, Strategy, Go To Market, Media, Design, Content and other relevant functions.
  • Lead the development of strategy, supporting campaign development, and new campaign roll out, global program measurement, along with continuous evaluation of the global strategy and tactics, recommending and implementing course corrections as needed.
  • Represent the global view in cross-functional forums to inform the strategic decisions for the businesses and industries.
  • Work with regions and key markets to ensure consistent execution of the strategy, new data launch readiness / commercial excellence, performance analysis and market and customer understanding.
  • Act as a thought leader, presenting and discussing ideas with intent to persuade, educate, and enhance marketing integration across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor and report on business trends and insights related to competitors in our focus industry in your specific market, products, solutions, and key happenings within the industry.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to increase the effectiveness of our marketing strategies to engage/support current customers/consumers and attract new customers/consumers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our brand, industry, partners, and products and act as internal brand ambassador and subject matter expert.
  • Be an engaged member of the Industry Marketing Leadership Team.


Required skills:

  • Experience in the process and distribution marketing industry driving demand generation programs with measurable performance.
  • Experience leveraging data to shape brand strategies and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience with revenue forecasting, budget/expense management, business case development and management/ communication of brand performance.
  • Evidence of developing compelling business cases.
  • Experience managing multiple levels of stakeholders, from top to bottom.
  • Experience preparing and presenting effective post-performance and post-mortem reports inclusive of KPI data to share across a wide audience base (team members and C-Suite) in an effort to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to take initiative, influence all levels and functions within the organization to achieve results.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the SaaS/software industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of ERP industry.
  • Prior experience leading marketing strategy.
