Director of Business Operations, Bethesda, MD

Aledade is looking for a Director of Business Operations who will be a key leader within Aledade’s Office of the President and play an instrumental role in driving the company’s day to day operations, culture, and values. This leader will oversee the strategy and operations for three critical programs within the Office of the President: 1) Aledade’s national Corporate Events program, 2) Aledade’s workspaces nationwide (Bethesda, Durham, Austin, and New York City), and 3) Aledade’s administrative team. This will include the leadership of a team of 15+ (and growing) people. This position will report into the VP of Business Strategy.

You thrive in a fast paced environment and are always thinking ahead, anticipating potential issues or needs, and developing solutions and plans to combat them.

Corporate Events:

  • Provide strategic leadership to Aledade’s Events team consisting of a Senior Events Manager and 2 Event Planners, responsible for leading an annual offsite retreat along with national team retreats and customer facing events throughout the year.
  • Ensure that Aledade’s Events Program achieves its goal of creating opportunities for our teams and customers to connect around Aledade’s initiatives and values
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure that events run smoothly and reflect Aledade’s culture
  • Prepare and manage annual event budget

Facilities:

  • Lead Aledade’s facilities team, consisting of a Senior Facilities Manager and 3 local Office Managers
  • Ensure that Aledade’s workspaces around the country (Bethesda, Durham, Austin, NYC) are inviting places for Aledaders to come together in person for meetings, events, and collaboration.
  • Lead the buildout of Aledade’s brand new headquarters in Bethesda, MD and the launch of the first Aledade Primary Care practice in Bethesda, MD.

Administration:

  • Manage a large and growing team of Executive Assistants who support Aledade’s executive leadership team. Ensure that the administrative needs of Aledade’s executive team are met, and serve as a liaison across departments to ensure consistent, robust and high quality administrative support
  • Lead team hiring/staffing efforts in partnership with the Recruiting team
  • Manage the prioritization of responsibilities and balance of staffing/workloads across the administrative team
  • Ensure Aledade’s administrative team provides top notch customer service to Aledade’s internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support a range of company wide administrative initiatives

What We Value:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Administration or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of direct experience as a leader in the operations, administration, or corporate events space, including a minimum of 5 years managing large/growing teams

  • Must be able to work part time (2-3 days/week) out of Aledade’s downtown Bethesda office and travel occasionally as needed.
