About this opportunity
**This is not a remote role and requires the candidate to live local to our corporate headquarters in Tempe, AZ. Under Align's flexible, hybrid work policy, most roles require office attendance Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, with optional office attendance on Monday and Friday.
The Director, Global HR Technology will be responsible for driving the Align HR Digital strategy, incorporating functionality and systems that deliver efficiencies and an exceptional user experience in support of our business goals. This will include identification and implementation of new systems, as well as. ongoing assessment, management and administration. This position will be expected to drive, influence, and collaborate with Global HR COEs, HRBPs, and IT to best leverage the systems in place and drive improvements where necessary. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that all groups using HR systems are trained in using the systems as appropriate.
In this role, you will…
Plan the future. Lead the development of HR technology strategies, objectives and roadmap, which support HR’s and Align’s business goals. Evaluate and elevate quality, efficiency, performance and scalability of HR systems, processes and teams globally-
Collaborate with HR leadership to develop an overall strategic technology plan for Global HR to leverage HR Systems including but not limited to HRIS, LMS and ATS.

Influence and apply best practices and industry innovations across the business and technology landscape.

Manage a team to continue to provide world-class expertise to our current systems and process.

Prepare business cases and needs analysis for the portfolio of applications in partnership with internal partners, providing technological advice and guidance in line with our overall strategy.

Provide leadership and oversight to large transformational programs across many functional teams including third party vendors.

Optimize our technology environment to be world-class, scalable and efficient.

In partnership with procurement and internal stakeholders participate in RFP’s for all new implementations within HR
Represent HR for all technology enhancements and implementations with potential impact on employee or candidate experience across the company
Ensure that all HR systems comply with Align Technology’s quality standards and all applicable federal regulations.
Proactively advise on compliance changes impacting candidate or employee process with HR systems around the globe in partnership with legal and HR.
In this role, you’ll need …

10+ years of experience working with HRIS and HR technology systems

BS/BA or equivalent work experience required
-
Strategic thinking and demonstrated ability to see the big picture, to understand and integrate disparate ideas and interests, and to develop a long-range vision and multi-year systems roadmap and innovative solutions

Demonstrated communication and change management skills, including the ability to effectively translate technical concepts for a lay audience, and to effectively and proactively inform, convince, influence, and educate executives, cross-functional stakeholders and team members

Experience managing Workday required

Workday certifications preferred

Advanced MS Excel knowledge required

Strong Influencing/Communication skills (writing, oral and presentation)
