About the role
As Morning Brew continues to expand, we have begun to prioritize revenue diversification beyond advertising revenue. And because we have built a heart loyal, 3,200,000-person audience, there is an opportunity to build new, valuable products for our readers that allow us to establish a direct monetary relationship with them. One such product that launched in 2020 is the MB/A (Morning Brew Accelerator) program, a virtual 8-week program designed to accelerate the careers of top-performing professionals.
Morning Brew is now looking for an experienced growth marketing leader to join the Growth organization, focusing on growth for our Education Business. Reporting to our VP, Growth, the Director of Growth, Education will lead our education growth marketing strategy to meet Morning Brew’s high-growth goals. This is a unique opportunity to be the first growth marketer focusing on the new education division of Morning Brew and to help shape what growth means for that business.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you'll do:
- Lead and own the user growth strategy for all our current and future education programs
- Own all growth metrics for education, and provide regular reporting on the overall health of the education business to the team
- Serve as the main cross-functional stakeholder for all things Education growth, communicating priorities, learnings, and opportunities to all departments
- Work closely with the data and analytics team to develop methodology for measurement and attribution, identify opportunities for optimizing LTV/CAC, and implement testing ideas to continuously enhance performance
- Work closely cross-functionally with Product and education teams to align marketing initiatives with their roadmaps. Propose new initiatives that can lift marketing performance and demonstrate how.
- Hire, manage and mentor the future Education growth team.
About you
- You have 7+ years of experience in growth marketing or user acquisition, with experience working on high AOV/long acquisition funnel products. Education experience is preferred but not required.
- You enjoy leading a team and have 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring more junior team members
- You have owned and managed a budget before, and have a strong track record of delivering against monthly goals of spend, CAC and retention.
- You enjoy working on both the analytical and creative sides of marketing. Concepting new organic growth tactics and finding nuggets of data in a spreadsheet to help optimize a channel are both things you like to do.
- You have a special affinity for terms like CLTV, CAC, CTR, churn, and the like. You’re curious about how to create models that improve these figures.
- You are a team player, results and detail-oriented, self-starter kind of person who likes to get stuff done.
