The Beverly Wilshire a Four Seasons Hotel is looking for a Director of Housekeeping who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.

This position has the opportunity to shape Guest Experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels. The position reports to the Director of Rooms.

Since opening in 1928, this legendary hotel has consistently been the preferred address for Hollywood's A-list crowd and the discerning traveler. Buzzing with vitality, Beverly Wilshire features 395 newly renovated guest rooms and suites, all-day dining at the see-and-be-seen restaurant - THEBlvd, Michelin-recommended dining at CUT by Wolfgang Puck, a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Spa and Mediterranean-style pool. Perfectly located, Beverly Wilshire is an urban, resort-style destination that offers guests the combined advantage of thoughtful Four Seasons care... and all that Beverly Hills has to offer.

About the role:

Director of Housekeeping will manage the operations of the Housekeeping department assuring that guest rooms, public and employee areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness; as well as, direct the efforts of the Laundry Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the staff of the Housekeeping Department. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed. Ensures communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
  • Establishes detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs to ensure appearance and life of all furniture, fixtures and equipment.
  • Sets and maintains high standards of cleanliness. Monitors staff’s activities to assure that standards are being met, staff is being supported and guest needs are being met. Inspects all areas of responsibility daily. Works directly with outside contracted companies to assure quality and timeliness of work.
  • Resolves customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinates the housekeeping needs of hotel guests. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.
  • Assures the financial goals of the department are being met. Monitors and controls labor expense and other divisional expenses such as Uniforms, Linen, Guest Supplies, Cleaning Supplies and Contract Services.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate inventory records. Participates in periodic Linen, Uniform and Supplies Inventories.
  • Recommends appropriate actions passed on results of inventory. Assures that equipment is properly maintained. Prepares annual budget for labor and operating expense. Proposes items to be included in annual Capital Plan. Assures effective operation of the Laundry/Valet Department. Assists the department when needed.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for individuals who have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, are able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service.

Applicants are required to have three to five years experience with diversity of Rooms Operations management positions.

A college degree preferably specializing in hotel management or business administration, or equivalent experience is required.

Base Salary: $95,000.00 - $112,000.00
