About the role

The Director, Head of Marketing Analytics is a key leadership role within Self. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing Analytics to help drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across multiple products (Credit Builder, Cards, Marketplace, Rents and Bills, etc.). The Director will partner with the Marketing team to drive decisions on the optimal allocation of marketing spend by channel to improve ROI and reduce CPA. This role will help lead the transition to a more performance oriented and test/learn marketing culture.

This role will report to the SVP, Analytics.

What you'll do:

  • Build out the Marketing Analytics discipline including establishing data-driven methodologies and processes to grow acquisitions, and measure and optimize marketing ROI
  • Create segmentation and scores to drive customer engagement, increase the share of wallet and provide meaningful outcomes for customers
  • Lead the charge on accurate attribution and decision making
  • Leverage marketing mix modeling and methodologies to assign multi-touch/omnichannel originations optimally for allocating marketing spend effectively
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of onshore and offshore managers and analysts to deliver high-quality projects promptly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams to get buy-in for data-based recommendations and new programs
  • Continuously assess competitive landscape and leverage insights to drive A/B experiments

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of Marketing Analytics and Data Science experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience, building and developing high-performing teams with a successful track record of developing and mentoring people
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and work with both offshore and onshore teams
  • Skilled in SQL with good knowledge of various statistical modeling techniques
  • Excellent communication recommendations and insights from your team to executive stakeholders and getting buy-in for implementation
  • You have consistently demonstrated strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills

And these skills are a bonus:

  • Experience working in FinTech or Financial Services
  • Startup experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related analytical field (Master's Preferred)
