Director of Product, Developer Products & Experience

We are hiring a product leader to drive forward our API product and developer experience at Ribbon. This role will be focused on leading products that serve innovators across the healthcare industry, enabling Ribbon to reach its mission of powering every care decision to be convenient, cost effective, and high quality. Ribbon’s API and developer ecosystem products are core differentiators for the company as Ribbon aims to set the bar for developer products in healthcare. In this role, you will scale out a team and partner closely with cross-functional leaders at the company to execute against the long-term strategy you set for Ribbon’s developer products.

What we're looking for in this role

  • You have experience building and scaling API products and developer ecosystems.
  • You have a strong desire to build for the growing community of developers innovating healthcare in our country. 
  • You are able to thrive in ambiguous environments. When the path forward is uncertain, you use an impact-oriented product mindset to create clarity for your team and the organization.
  • You can put together cohesive roadmaps to support overarching company goals.
  • You have experience and/or interest in leading teams and coaching others.
  • You are willing to do whatever it takes for your product and team to be successful. No task is too small, you want to be in the weeds, and you always put your team first.

Your day-to-day

  • API products: Collaborate with Engineering to build best-in-class, enterprise quality API products for the healthcare industry.
  • Developer obsession: Build a platform and community that enables customers to seamlessly use the power of Ribbon to build impactful healthcare products.  
  • Product leadership: Build a product roadmap, acquire necessary resources, hire additional team members, and lead execution for the Developer Products team.
  • Team building: Understand what roles the team needs to succeed, build out a team, and ensure teammates are aligned on priorities, developing, and becoming their best at Ribbon.
