The Role
You blend critical thinking with a drive for delivering strong and actionable results, while being passionate about bringing value to our plan sponsors, participants, and Fidelity. As a member of the PPA-W Look Ahead team, you will collaborate with your team and our business partners to establish strategic direction for PPA-W by identifying and prioritizing strategic opportunities. You will partner with team leads in an agile fashion to influence strategic decisions and roadmaps and execute on the top growth opportunities. You will also be committed to maintaining and developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role, and support your teammates do the same!
Experience working in a matrixed, cross-enterprise / business unit environment
Background in management consulting strongly preferred
Financial services experience preferred, but not required
Agile experience preferred, but not required Bachelor’s or equivalent with 10+ years of experience, Master’s preferred
Data-driven approach to frame market opportunities and inform “key strategic questions”
Strong cross-functional leadership and skills to navigate a demanding environment and influence partners with a wide range of priorities and perspectives
Continuous improvement mindset and intellectual curiosity
Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, familiar with testing and learning to optimize impact
Strong program management skills and ability to lead several high priority initiatives simultaneously and with multiple groups
Excellent consultative, listening, communication, and analytical skills
Customer obsessed and proven commitment to delivering frequent, high business value
Ability to see opportunities for innovation and taking thoughtful risks to get the work done better and faster
Strong team collaboration with the ability to navigate differences in opinion with grace and utilize constructive feedback as data for the next iteration
Lead ideation sessions to frame new strategic opportunities
Use outside-in insights to develop hypotheses and inform learning agendas
Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to bring an outside-in perspective to help identify value to customer and inform prioritization
Collaborate with internal teams or business partners in adjacent product areas to co-create early stage concepts that meet customer needs
Work with Product Area and Group Squad leadership to facilitate development and prioritization of a backlog of opportunities by building compelling and data-driven business cases, product roadmaps, leading to appropriate resourcing and outcomes
Develop eventual Go-to-Market strategies, and Thought Leadership
Build credibility and trust with a diverse set of leaders in and out of the product area to influence and align around shared goals and visions
Incubate early stage concepts to test and refine market potential
Develop executive level communications for internal and external use
Participate in and facilitate regular strategic planning discussions (e.g., objectives, key metrics, MYP, QSA, QP)
As part of the PPAW Product Area, the Look Ahead Team, is responsible for crafting the Product Area’s next 2-3-year strategy by defining the top growth opportunities, prioritizing and establishing a future roadmap, and aligning on resourcing needs. You will work in partnership with the PPAW Group/Squad Leaders and members of their squads, and other leaders across Workplace and Retail businesses. As a team, we believe that balancing collaboration with strategic thinking infused by data-driven outside-in insights would lead to the best possible outcomes.
