The VP of Digital Marketing position leads an advertising and digital marketing team to drive growth within Pattern and its Partners. This role manages the advertising and marketing efforts for our Partner’s brand and owned brands across Amazon as well as other marketplaces. This role works closely with the Brand Management team to build strategies and tactical plans to generate incremental growth and to reach the highest marketing and advertising exposure. The Vice President is responsible for supporting multiple senior stakeholders within the business as well as externally representing Pattern in front of our top clients. This role reports to the Chief Brand Officer.

What is a day in the life of a VP of Digital Marketing?
  • Lead advertising and marketing technology, including Pattern’s internal data development efforts
  • Identify key product enhancements and serve as the business lead in requirements development, design, and UAT efforts
  • Collaborate with Partners or leadership to determine the goals of advertising and marketing projects and to develop plans to meet those goals
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with team members to cultivate ideas for new advertising and marketing campaign concepts, including content and design elements
  • Drive growth within our portfolio brands, including launching brands into D2C, new markets and/or marketplaces by introducing new strategies in areas such as paid search (PPC), search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing and paid social, etc.
  • Oversee all budget and reporting for performance marketing across Amazon, Google and Social
  • Manage, mentor and grow our existing team to ensure best practices and Pattern values are followed and maintained
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related program
  • 8+ years of experience in team building/development
  • 10+ years of experience in the world of multichannel or online marketing, managing Google AdWords/Shopping and/or Amazon campaigns
  • Worked at a decision making marketing level within an agency or ecommerce team
  • Strong all-round knowledge of the digital marketing mix with working knowledge on Amazon, Google and Social channels
  • Experience using a variety of toolsets such as Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook, Google Tag Manager and Amazon and reporting back clearly to clients on marketing metrics and how they contribute to overall performance
  • Ability to succinctly synthesize and deliver back comprehensive marketing strategies to hit client objectives
  • Capable of establishing and nurturing longstanding relationships with clients

  • The VP of Digital Marketing is over both Pattern’s Digital Advertising and Digital Marketing teams. The VP reports to the Chief Brand Officer. This team is data-driven and results-oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team and work across departments with other senior level colleagues to implement actionable solutions.
