The Product Marketing team at Bazaarvoice has the global responsibility of pricing, launching, and growing new offers in market. We are looking for a Director of Pricing and Packaging to oversee and implement pricing strategies across our entire product portfolio. This role will own the global pricing strategy for Bazaarvoice. They will work with Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Executive Leadership, and across the organization, to co-develop pricing and packaging for all new products and services, measure pricing and packaging efficacy for in-market products, and develop long term pricing, discounting, bundling and promotional strategies to grow bookings and retain customers. The successful candidate will be willing and able to work in a dynamic environment as we standardize our large existing portfolio, while also developing and pricing new innovations. Your work will be highly visible to the executive leadership team and instrumental as we continue to innovate and grow the business with new products and in new markets.

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar role in a B2B Software and/or SaaS business – ideally one that operates globally in multiple regions.
  • Experienced in delivering pricing, go-to-market, and/or product recommendations
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research projects that lead to informed business strategy recommendations.
  • Demonstrated proven ability to lead and organize stakeholders across an organization.
  • A strategic thinker with a market/ customer first mindset
  • Skillful written and oral communicator comfortable presenting to an executive audience.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

What you will be doing:

  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally with a variety of teams and have a passion for data-analysis, financial modeling and commercial strategy.
  • Partner across Bazaarvoice's product, go-to-market and finance teams to deliver strategic pricing recommendations and analysis which drive growth.
  • Help set vision, prioritization, and roadmap for global pricing initiatives, including pricing/packaging models and process improvements.
  • Incorporate competitive intelligence, economics/profitability, client segmentation, value proposition, offer design (bundles/solutions) and differentiators into optimal go-to-market pricing and packaging recommendations.
  • Monitor ongoing competitive and market dynamics to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Business Development, and Finance to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
  • Project impact of pricing changes, bundling, promotions, and discounting on bookings and revenue.
  • Monitor pricing proposals, discounts, packages, key KPIs, synthesize findings, report regularly to Executive Leadership.
  • Make recommendations on where to tweak and optimize strategies based on actuals and progress.

At Bazaarvoice, we carefully consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. We also take geography into consideration when we can but are not able to accommodate every location when determining our ranges. These considerations mean that compensation can vary. That said, we expect the base salary for this position to be in the range to be as listed above and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will also be eligible for additional compensation incentives including an annual bonus and other great benefits.
