As the Director of Product Operations, you will play a key role in overseeing the operational aspects of our product development and delivery processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, quality assurance, services and customer support, to ensure the successful execution of our product roadmap. Your expertise in scaled agile methodologies, complex and configurable systems, and SAAS software will be crucial in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manae product and agile operations, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to Scrum Teams, Technical Product Owners, and Scrum Masters.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to support the successful execution of product development and delivery plans.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and refine product requirements, ensuring they are well-constructed and aligned with customer needs.
  • Drive the adoption and adherence to scaled agile methodologies, such as SAFe, within the product organization, enabling efficient and predictable product delivery.
  • Oversee the configuration and customization of complex software systems to meet the unique needs of individual clients, ensuring scalability, stability, and maintainability.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals, priorities, and timelines.
  • Monitor and report on product development and delivery metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product operations team, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of best practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in scaled agile methodologies, complex system design, and SAAS software development, applying relevant knowledge to enhance product operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in a product operations or similar role within a technology-driven organization.
  • Strong background in scaled agile methodologies, such as SAFe, and experience implementing and managing agile practices across cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in working with complex and configurable systems, preferably within the software industry.
  • In-depth understanding of SAAS software development and delivery processes, with a track record of successfully launching and maintaining SAAS products.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Proficient in utilizing standard product management tools such as JIRA, Asana, or similar platforms to ensure the generation of standard product roadmaps.
  • Relevant certifications, such as SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or product management certifications, are highly desirable.

Travel

  • Quarterly travel, 10-15%.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
