Learning & Development Developer

We have built over 3,500 pre-stressed concrete liquid storage tanks over the past 90 years around the country and world, as a result we have become the leader in the industry when it comes to quality and innovation.


As a Learning and Development Developer at DN Tanks, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and delivering impactful learning solutions and development programs that support employee growth and performance. You will oversee the management of learning content, ensuring that materials are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to all employees. Your primary objective will be to create learning experiences that drive continuous development, reduce time to competency, and empower employees to reach their full potential.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within business functions to develop best in class learning content.  Delivery methods include, but are not limited to, instructor lead training, virtual training, computer-based training, mentorship programs, and practical/ simulation.
  • Develop curriculums, courses, and learning experiences to develop employees.
  • Utilize data, employee feedback, and leadership feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Optimize access to training and incorporate learning opportunities in everyday work.
  • Connect competencies, learning solutions, and work experience to determine workforce capacity and capability.  Validate data with the business to determine learning needs and measure the ROI of different learning solutions.
  • Update learning solutions and content for relevancy and effectiveness.
  • Keep up with and incorporate innovative learning solutions.
  • Help develop instructors and work with them to improve development solutions and more impact.
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage the development and implementation of learning strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Training Specialist and other office administrators to define training event requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of leaning solutions, propose KPIs, and report accordingly.
  • Track action items for department to ensure timely completion and follow-up.


Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development. 
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of training experience.
  • Experience with video and video content creation.
  • Experience with a variety of content creation and publishing software.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred)
