Job Description

The Events & Education Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational offerings. Reports to the Events & Education Manager.

  • Plans, schedules and executes public and private events including specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptions
  • Writes and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages online
  • Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events
  • Builds and manages client lists and relationships
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Outstanding professional communication skills and editorial skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Italian wine and food gastronomy
  • Proficiency in Italian language preferred

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
