Job Description

This position is referred to as the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager at Eataly. They direct the front of house operations of a single restaurant at an Eataly location, working with the front of house, back of house and QSR teams.

Reports to the Store Director and oversees the team of Restaurant Managers.

  • Organizes and directs a store’s restaurant operations to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standards
  • Sets departmental goals and leads a team of managers, working closely with each to understand operational needs, provide training and motivation, and encourage interdepartmental collaboration
  • Assists with employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations and terminations
  • Works the floor actively, applying a hands-on approach, unafraid to get hands dirty
  • Executes strategies around pricing, merchandizing, new products and promotions aimed at increasing efficiencies and driving sales  
  • Estimates food and beverage needs, and requisitions or purchases food, beverage, supplies and equipment; receives and checks orders to ensure they adhere to specifications. Works with Fulfillment Ops Manager to ensure successful management of inter Store procurement program
  • Prepares weekly updates on front of house, beverage and QSR operations, while collaborating closely with corporate and senior leaders to plan activities and achieve goals
  • Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Compensation: This position pays a base salary of $90,000 - $100,000.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of front of house and/or QSR management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational and team-building skills  
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferred  
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
