Regional Sales Director - Wiring Devices

Eaton is seeking a Regional Sales Director for our Residential Wiring Devices business. This role will lead and guide local sales agencies in wiring devices sales initiatives throughout the Gulf region. The Gulf region territory includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. This position may be based in Texas at the following Eaton locations: Houston, Austin, or Grapevine. Relocation assistance is available. Travel up to 40% will be required.Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, your primary responsibility will be to lead the team in achieving the set sales targets. You will act as a crucial source of market intelligence and a key representative for the wiring devices product line at the regional sales level. This involves coordinating with Gulf District Sales Directors, Regional Sales Directors across various Eaton Electrical vertical segments, and the Channel Management team.As a manager, you will oversee two direct reports, outside sales reps. Additionally, you will manage important relationships with key channels and contractors, while providing sales and technical support to agents, distributors, customers, and end users. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing sales volume, product mix, and profit margins, as well as boosting sales across all relevant vertical markets within the assigned territory.In this role you will:• Develop and execute sales plans with assigned sales agencies to meet performance expectations and requirements• Provide technical and competitive assistance to those agents on project quotations as well as channel/contractor/end-user conversion opportunities.• Coordinate with regional NAS, channel, and other regional vertical resources to realize growth opportunities for wiring devices• Prepare and present product training presentations to grow our organizational capabilities at the agent, channel, and end-user level.• Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects• Assist agents by working with the product-line to resolve technical and market issues• Canvas the market to gain insight and guide the product line in adjusting to ever changing pricing and specification requirements.• Assist agents in developing a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions• Obtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skillsYour Qualifications:• Demonstrated success in leading outside sales teams, both directly and indirectly, to expand new and existing business• Extensive experience in commercial roles, working with channel distributors and outside sales representatives• Strong technical aptitude for learning new electrical products and effectively coordinating with internal stakeholders, product lines, and manufacturing resources to communicate sales requirements• Proven track record of leading teams (directly/indirectly) to achieve sales goals, resulting in business outcomes exceeding $10M-$40M in sales• Minimum 8 years of experience with electrical industry sales, marketing, and/or engineering• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted US driver's license• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the futureYour Preferred Qualifications:• MBA• Greater than 8+ years of electrical industry experience• Knowledgeable of a wide range of Eaton electrical products, services and competitors• Experience or exposure to a manufacturing organizationThe expected annual salary range for this role is $138461.22 - $203076.46 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
