Candidate's Note: This role is 100% remote position for candidates based in the United States (preference to CST/PST time zones)

We are looking for a stellar Platform Engineer. As a member of the team, you’ll work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling. 

What your impact will be:

  • Designing and developing platform technology for our next generation management software in our hybrid & multi-cloud management team
  • Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development and test systems
  • Monitoring and improving the performance and usability of existing tools and environments
  • Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems

What you will bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, OpenShift
  • 3-5 years of experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • 3-5 years of experience in Terraform 
  • Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures
  • Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment
  • Experience developing, automating, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills

What will give you an edge:

  • Experience with NIST SSDF requirements
  • Build and operate systems in audited environments (e.g., SOC2, PCI, FedRAMP)
  • Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes 
  • In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Experience working within a “you build it, you own it” culture

Compensation Range (DOE/Location)=$125-150k max base +  annual variable bonus
