The Opportunity
TurboTax helps millions of people file their taxes smarter each year. A big part of their success comes from customers' positive experiences with their Expert Network, comprised of Product Experts and Tax Specialists. Education At Work (E@W), a national non-profit that supports college students by providing work-based learning employment that accelerates their career success, is currently hiring for Intuit Product Expert and Tax Specialist roles for the upcoming tax season. These are paid, school-year positions with significant opportunities for advancement for students seeking a career in tax, accounting, or finance.
Product Experts will represent Intuit during their interactions with customers as E@W employees. To represent the company professionally, you will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, a desire to learn, and an enthusiasm for delighting customers. Tax Specialists will complete the content in the Intuit Academy, including information on basic tax preparation and the opportunity to work on sample tax returns before taking a mandatory assessment. Once certified, Tax Specialists will be paired with team leaders and managers with tax preparation experience as they begin their journey of supporting individuals in tax preparation. Intuit’s scaffolded approach has helped thousands of individuals without a CPA to successfully build tax preparation skills and gain the experience needed to earn significant income during tax season. E@W recruiters, trainers, and senior leaders will work with interested students to determine whether the Product Expert or Tax Specialist role is the appropriate position for you.
In addition to gaining technical skills as a member of Intuit’s Expert Network, E@W is committed to helping students develop in-demand soft skills during their work-based learning experience. Students can expect to refine their skills in the following areas, further positioning themselves as highly competent and desirable workers for their post-college careers:
