We are looking for an experienced developer who previously or is currently involved in contributing to Electron open source project. This person will strengthen our engineering team that works on a cross-platform video conferencing application based on the Electron framework.
Our project is built on top of an in-house fork of Electron, and our aim is to make our changes available back to the Electron community.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of the in-house Electron fork from technical perspective
  • Implement feature changes or bug fixes in Electron
  • Help the team with Electron-specific problems investigation
  • Explore solutions to make our in-house changes available to the Electron community
Key Technologies:
  • C++
  • Electron
  • Chromium
  • WebRTC
  • Objective-C
  • JS
  • Node.js
Qualifications:
  • Strong C++ skills
  • Experience in Windows or Mac OS native programming (better both)
  • Knowledge of Electron internals
  • Electron contribution history
  • Ability to design APIs, make local architectural decisions
  • Ability to evaluate complex projects and meet estimated deadlines
Pluses:
  • Objective-C, C++ or JavaScript skills
  • Knowledge of Chromium and WebRTC internals
  • Chromium or WebRTC contribution history

If you are hired in Colorado, California, Nevada, New York, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, the compensation range for this position is between $72,000 and $133,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
