ELPEDISON, with its two privately-owned power plants in Thisvi (Voiotia)and Thessaloniki, with a total installed capacity of 820 MW, uses natural gas as fuel and ensures a clean and continuous electricity flow, based on a highly environmentally-friendly power generation process.

We are currently looking for a Business Partner in our Digital Development & Data Engineering division, to be the key liaison between the Division and Business units, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient communication of the goals, objectives and new requests. Responsible for managing respective teams which aim to accomplish the generic and more specific goals of the Business Unit(s) he/she serves, through Digital initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with units of the Division and the BUs, to identify demand, business needs, manage and prioritize new and ongoing projects & requests. Liaise with the Division units and with IT to perform feasibility studies, high-level cost, resource and effort estimations etc. Partner with the BUs and other units of the Division to prioritize demand and ensure project execution to meet expectations.
  • Align resources, including HR (e.g. developers, architects, etc), tools & methodologies in collaboration with Business Analysts from BUs. Regularly informs the Division management and BU Managers on the status of the Digital programs and projects of the BUs he/she supports, including budget management, progress & milestones, resources allocation, potential risks and mitigation measures.
  • Stay up to date on technological advancements, new digital trends and solutions, proposes new methodologies, tools and technologies to the BUs he/she serves. Supervise the execution of readiness assessments to the BUs he/she serves, aiming to ensure its readiness to implement digital programs and projects. Perform analyses to support demand management and opportunity identification activities.
  • Monitor the whole software development lifecycle for the digital projects, engaging the proper resources per stage.
    Guide and support the dedicated teams, based on BU Lead directions, during solution implementation lifecycle.
  • Maintain the workflow diagrams and other models of enterprise business activities, with reference to the use of digital solutions and automation tools. Using these models, (s)he analyses the potential impact of digital projects on business processes.

What you will need in order to succeed:

  1. A BSc in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. A M.Sc. or MBA in relevant field will be considered an important asset.
  3. At least 6 years of relevant working experience in with digitalization projects in enterprise environments.
  4. Prior experience in the energy or relevant sector or Fintech, Application Integration Analysis, Trading will be considered an important asset.
  5. Proven record of accomplishment in identifying and solving complex problems through digitalization (automation and/or analytics).
  6. Very good understanding of business operations and the needs of business users.
  7. Extended experience in working collaboratively with teams across the organization, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and evaluate multiple solutions to a problem.
  9. Experience in the design of holistic solutions to business problems, combining technology, improvements in processes and people’s training/upskilling.
  10. Experience in project planning and execution, project management, project lifecycle.
  11. Experienced in agile management practices.
  12. Awareness of IT service management processes, information security practices and data governance principles.
  13. Familiarity with solution in Hybrid environments (On-premise, Cloud) and integration strategies.
  14. Excellent written and spoken English.
  15. Advanced computer skills.
  16. Project management tools.
  17. Collaboration tools.
  18. Background in programming and software development will be considered an asset.
  19. Ability to operate &manage, subject to broad practices and procedures and managerial direction, with a degree of independence to achieve the agreed targets.
  20. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects in parallel. Negotiations skills.
  21. Excellent business acumen and ability to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  22. Contributing to long term functional and business strategy; taking accountability on the achievement of annual objectives.
  23. Continuous learning and desire to stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the field.
  24. Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.
  25. Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  26. Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
