Who are we?

Embeddable launched less than a year ago and is already taking the developer world by storm! Like how Stripe enables developers to add payments to their platform and Unity enables you to build world-class games, Embeddable is the end-to-end developer platform for building seamless, lightning-fast customer-facing analytics directly into your product.

As a developer, adding a couple of charts to your online platform is easy. Scaling analytics to tens of thousands of end-users, who all have differing data needs and data questions, is a hard problem. Embeddable gives you the infrastructure and tools to rapidly build out your interactive in-product analytics in days, not months, and empowers your team to iterate on your analytics at the pace your customers need.

Our 3 core user personas are…:

1. Front-end (React.js) developers using our SDK to build beautifully interactive analytical experiences.

2. Data teams building (SQL-based) data models for powering their single-source-of-truth.

3. End users (typically non-technical) who are interacting with the analytical experiences and building out their own custom dashboards in our customers’ platforms.

…and it’s our goal to make sure all of them have delightful user experiences!

As our Operations Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind People Ops, finance, IT, legal, compliance, and special projects that keep the company running smoothly while also managing a more junior team member based in Berlin. You’ll relish the challenge of balancing multiple priorities, creating order out of chaos, and designing processes that not only work but shine. If you love diving into the nitty-gritty while maintaining a high-level view, and People are your passion - this role is for you.

🔮 The magic you’ll perform

People Ops

• Oversee onboarding, off-boarding, and performance reviews.

• Look after our policies, procedures and employee data.

• Drive employee engagement through socials, meet-ups, and training.

• Manage time off, EOR (our Employer of Record vendor relationship), and travel bookings.

• Support talent acquisition and team growth.

Finance

• Handle payroll, expenses, and payments for all employees and suppliers.

• Collaborate with accountants on bookkeeping, VAT, and annual reports.

• Manage bank accounts and forecast monthly financials.

• Oversee invoicing and cross-border transactions.

Legal + Compliance

• Work with external lawyers on legal matters.

• Manage contracts and agreements.

• Manage business insurance and data security standards.

• Lead compliance efforts, including SOC2 accreditation.

IT + Admin

• Manage Google Workspace, tools, and IT equipment.

• Oversee vendor relationships and IT processes.

• Manage our Notion and optimise workflows.

• Ensure smooth operations of core systems.

• Manage our merchandise.

Wild Card

• Be the Exec team’s go-to for research and special projects

• Look for opportunities to continue improving company processes.

🤸‍♂️ What you already have

Hard skills:

• 5+ years' experience in

  • People Ops management

  • Finance and payroll processes

  • Building and managing policies and procedures

  • Streamlining and optimising processes

  • Employment law and legal principles

  • Excel/Google Worksheets

• ideally familiar working with one or more

  • EOR management

  • Remote/hybrid team engagement

  • International subsidiary management (particularly in Germany)

  • Budgets, forecasting, financial report building

  • Google Workspace, Notion, Xero, Slack, Zapier, Stripe

• bonus experience in

  • performance management

  • scaling a startup

Soft skills:

• Effective and empathetic communicator

• Observant and detail oriented (when it comes to people, and data!)

• Natural multitasker with a great ability to (de)prioritise

• Fluent in English (+ German would be a bonus!)
