This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home.

Your Mission

As a part of the newly formed “center of expertise” Employee Relations team, you will serve as a key driver in facilitating the transformation of our ER work through your handling of critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and time sensitive and acting as a challenger of current practices to elevate the care and attention that we provide our employees. You will work in close partnership with HR and Legal teams to drive consistent ER processes across the organization while minimizing risk and ensuring a positive ethical workplace. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following accountabilities:

  • Partner with Activision Blizzard’s Ethics & Compliance and Legal teams to resolve conflicts and successfully implement solutions for workplace issues. Conduct reviews of sensitive employee relations issues.
  • Make recommendations in consultation with COEs following investigations of policy violations or cultural concerns, and determine appropriate resolution or disciplinary action.
  • Provide consultative guidance and coaching for HRBPs and internal partners on employee relations matters, with a focus on complex, sensitive, or high-risk issues.
  • Maintain detailed files for ER cases with a timely recording of notes and supporting documentation into the ER case management system.
  • Facilitate and support interactive processes with employees seeking a reasonable accommodation in partnership with Legal and Benefits.
  • Provide consultation and make recommendations to leaders and HR Business partners on performance management including effective employee engagement and coaching and support with drafting PIPs and corrective actions with talking points, when vital.
  • Facilitate training to build employee relations skills amongst the HR community and people managers.
  • Recommend policy changes and enhancements based on investigation outcomes and trends.
  • Assist with ad hoc ER and HR department projects, as needed.

Player Profile

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 3+ years combined years of directly applicable HR and Employee Relations experience, including prior HR Generalist experience
  • The highest level of integrity with a proven ability to gain trust from all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of US & Canada employment laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately spot employment risks and issues
  • Exercises sound judgment, while balancing acting with a sense of urgency and need for attention to detail
  • Coaches and influences all levels of employees and successfully delivers difficult messages
  • Maintains composure in a fast-paced, fluid environment and successfully navigates ambiguity to build consensus and achieve resolutions
  • Conveys emotional intelligence and cultivates strong relationships while handling sensitive situations
  • Proven commitment to inclusion

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $72,720.00 - $134,460.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
