Job Description Summary

• Act as the technical lead, as well as an individual contributor, on these engagements, contributing to software implementation, troubleshooting, customization, and integration into customer systems while balancing scope versus project time and resource commitments.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Be responsible of integrating applications within the Wholesale Electricity Markets (MMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS) system.
• Track issue resolution and document solutions implemented and create troubleshooting guides.
• Work with customers to translate their wholesale electricity market system needs into written software requirements.
• Work with power system engineers and software engineers to integrate system changes to meet the customer’s needs.
• Work with subsystem experts to formulate a software design to satisfy the customer’s requirements. This includes being the owner of system level incremental design documents that cover all impacted subsystems.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and subsystem leads throughout the project to scope changes, provide estimates, create project schedules, and execute the implementation and delivery while adhering to the change management process.
• Participate in testing of the system changes whether defects or new enhancements.
• Effectively leverage product capability, driving standardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutions.
• Interact with Product Development Team, Commercial Team, Customers, Solution Providers (Partner / Integrators), and other cross-functional teams as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer science or related field, from an accredited university or college.
• Five (5) to Ten (10) years of professional experience in software development or software integration.
• Previous experience with Electric Utilities, Energy Management Systems (EMS) or Wholesale Electricity Markets at the market level, at the asset owners and plant operators is a plus.
• Experience with Enterprise System Integration, Delivery Management

• Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle, Relational Database, Shell scripting or similar programming languages/technologies.
• Linux operating system, shell scripting or similar scripting language.
• Experience with integration of complex software development solutions/ecosystems.
• Excellent software analytical and debugging skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Self-starter; comfortable pulling together information from multiple resources.
• Coaches others on troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.

• Plans and facilitates collaborative discussions with client and others within GE to identity and prioritize client's overall business needs.
• Implements scalable systems according to governance and standards guidelines/boundaries, collaborating with others as necessary.

The salary range for this position is 104,000.00 -140,000.00 USD Annual USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include be Health, Medical, 401K, and Paid Leave.
